Bob Meize – President

Robert A. Meize formed Pinon Energy, LLC in 2020 to acquire and operate stranded oil & gas assets. He has +40 years of domestic and international industry experience with large independent operators and major, vertically integrated companies.  He holds a Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Tech and a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.  He has authored numerous technical papers and presentations on subsalt, deepwater and horizontal drilling techniques including recognition as one of SPE’s Distinguished Lecturers for 2005-2006.  He is a long-term member of SPE, IADC and AADE organizations. John Marty – Advisor – Operations

John Marty III joined Pinon Energy in 2020 to optimize legacy oil assets.  John has 39 years of exploration and waste management experience in the Western Hemisphere both onshore and offshore. His early career was spent with service companies advancing to senior level management positions in waste management and logistics.  Most recently he was charged with offshore compliance in the GOM for a new Operator which included Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) compliance and certification as a Qualified Individual (QI). He also provided logistical support to the drilling operations to include sourcing material, equipment, and personnel for the operations.  John is a member of the Wounded Warriors, IADC, AADE and API programs. Jim Bucci – Advisor – Geoscience

Jim Bucci is Director of Geoscience and managing partner with over 36 years of domestic and International industry experience in both conventional and unconventional plays. Jim received his Bachelor and Master of Science in Geology from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Pinion, Jim served in multiple leadership and technical roles including VP of geoscience at Nadel and Gussman, Director of Geoscience for American Energy Partners’ Woodford shale business Unit, Geologic Manager for Continental Resources, and 25 years with various roles at EOG resources and Marathon Oil. Jeff Blagg – Advisor – Compliance

Jeffrey C. Blagg is a consulting engineer with over 40 years of diverse professional experience in petroleum and environmental engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Engineering from New Mexico Tech and is registered as a Professional Engineer (Petroleum Discipline, NMPE No. 11607) in the State of New Mexico.  He is licensed by the New Mexico Environment Department as a Certified Scientist (No. 58).   While working for major and independent operators he conducted assessment of oil and gas reservoir/production performance in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Alaska.  As a consultant he has 25 years of experience in permitting and assuring regulatory compliance with environmental regulations, preparation of SPCC plans and remediation of hydrocarbon impacted oilfield sites in Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Allan Rennie – Advisor – Engineering

Allan Rennie, PMP is a Technical Leader and joined Pinon Energy with over +30 years experience in managing and executing integrated and discreet projects, engineering programs, and removing waste. He graduated with a Diploma in Drilling Engineering from Fleming College and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Geology and Physics from Acadia University in Canada. Allan has authored numerous technical papers and presentations on subsalt, deepwater and horizontal drilling and evaluation systems techniques, with recognition from World Oil in 2012 for Best Drilling Technology (iPZIG), and in 2018 from Offshore Technology Spotlight Award (ALD).
